My first proper 3d image, 'The New You' is a cheesy take on magazine advertisments for makeup and beauty products.

When making my video Juicy, I had initially not used occlusion layers as I hadn't been able to see the difference it makes, but then when I re-made parts of my video, I decided to use occlusion layers, and watching the two together made me realise the difference it makes. I made this image to be able to show new artists the difference having occlusion layers can make to an image.

The main character in the image is Iris, an updated version of the character I had made in Lightwave a few years ago. I made an animated video using this model (and a few different versions of her), she is fully rigged, has morph targets for lip syncing and a more cartoony, comic book style to her.

This is my first image posted here, and I would love any constructive feedback to help me improve the standard of my work.
